Pomona Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon

On April 17th President Sharon Goodrich, Robbie Larson and Carole Lyles attended the Pomona Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon.  Approximately 250 members representing the business community, service organizations and non-profits attended to hear updates from local elected officials.  Speakers included:

Norma J. Torres – Congresswoman representing California’s 35th Congressional District
Betty T. Yee – State Controller
Connie M. Leyva – California State Senator
Freddie Rodriguez – City of Pomona Assemblymember
Hilda L. Solis – Los Angles County First District Supervisor

All of the speakers addressed issues that are important to us locally.  Assistance League of Pomona Valley is proud to be a part of this community, and to be a member of the Pomona Chamber of Commerce.  One of our priorities for the future is to become a more active participant in both the Pomona Chamber of Commerce and our local government.
