AL Pomona Valley Partners With Northkirk Presbyterian Church

Assistance League Pomona Valley partnered with Northkirk Presbyterian Church in Alta Loma, CA to “Make Christmas Happen” for eight families.

Since 1997, AL Pomona Valley has given gifts, groceries and personal items to children and parents referred by local school districts. In December 2013, 34 families were served through individual members’ generosity. One member, Audrey Crabtree, once again enlisted the help of the congregation at Northkirk through their Giving Tree Activity. Reverend Tina Blair, Cyndee Poulus and Sharon Hayden were instrumental in the success of this year’s project.

Members shopped for items on children’s Wish Lists and brought the wrapped packages to church mid-month. The congregation was extremely generous in providing, toys, books and clothing. Gifts were grouped into family Santa Bags to make the holiday memorable and fun-filled.
