February Business Meeting and Member Appreciation Luncheon

The Pomona Valley Chapter of Assistance League held its regular business meeting on February 3, 2015.  After the business meeting the voting members hosted their Annual Member Appreciation Luncheon.  Guests included Kellie Claflin, Associate Member and Auxiliary Members Bess Wilkinson, Sally McDonald, Barbara Brown and Claire McQuillan.  The program featured Anne Salenger, Historian for the National Assistance League.  She described the backgrounds of the League’s founders Ann Banning and Ada Edwards Laughlin.  Humorous and poignant stories brought these women to life and demonstrated their commitment to serving those in need.  Eighty years later, chapters are assisting their communities with the same dedication.
